Ordination of Tamika Jancewicz - May 26th 5pm. Tamika was a student pastor 2016-2017 and she will serve at First Lutheran in Ellicott City.

Pocket Prayer Squares and Crosses - We now have pocket prayer squares that you can give to someone to keep with them all the time. They are pocket size and can slide in a pocket or purse to carry God's love and warmth with you all day. They are located in a basket on the ushers table in the narthex. Seeking Prayer Shawls - Seeking prayer shawls. They may be knitted or crocheted. Place them in the prayer shawl cabinet in the volunteer room. We have yarn. See Kathy Piet.
Friends Helping Friends (FHF) - is one of our programs to provide assistance when you need a helping hand: rides, shopping, light housework and yard work, meals, and the like. FHF is also looking for more members to join up to help fellow congregation members in need. Sign up in the narthex or by emailing Peggy Johnson

Adult Sunday School - “As we continue our journey through 1 Thessalonians, we invite you to come and join us for a discussion about what Paul is saying to both the Church of Thessalonica, and us today as Christians! On the last Sunday of May, we shall be discussing the film “Saving Mr. Banks” which is based on Walt Disney and P. L. Travers’ twenty-year relationship wherein he continued to seek the rights to her book in order to make the movie Mary Poppins. Vacation Bible School - will be held during the week of July 15th. Registration is now open at this link. We are actively looking for adult and teen volunteers. One specific need is for someone to assist with the plan for decorations. Contact Lois Bailey at if you would like to be a part of this important ministry.

Sunday Evening Bible Study Using the Life Recovery Bible - (Sun, 7p, Conference Room/Library): This particular Bible gives Biblical insight to the 12 Steps of recovery from numerous problems. Open to all who are interested in looking at the Bible in a different way. For more information, contact Bill Thomas.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study - (Wed, 10 am, Conference Room/Library): Over the summer, the Wednesday morning Bible study group will be reading and discussing selections from contemporary literature from the collection Listening for God, vol. 4, edited by Paula J. Carlson. Everyone is invited to attend, even if you can’t be there regularly. This week we’re reading and discussing Chapter 5: “The Ugliest Pilgrim” by Doris Betts.
Care Bags for the Homeless - Pick up a bag from the baskets near the sign up bulletin board as you depart and give it to someone who is homeless. More information online to see what is needed. Place items in the coat closet. We need chapsticks, bottles of water and hand warmers to make more bags.
Building Puentes Lunch - June 23rd. A lunch for those who are attending or supporting the Building Puentes trip this summer. Building Puentes is asking for a free will donations to support the trip to Puerto Rico.
Middle School End of Year Party - May 31st 6-9 pm at the Rose’s house.
Youth Group - May 26th 6-8 pm. No Youth Group. Happy Memorial Day!
Mar-Lu-Ridge Summer Camp 2019 - "Transformed Community!" MLR offers residential programming for ages 6-17, as well as Day camp for ages 6-10. The camp is ACA accredited, and the staff is faith-filled and enthusiastic. MLR offers traditional and specialty camps to meet all interests.
